3 Myths About Selling your Digital Planner That Are Totally Holding You Back

Are you wanting to create a digital planner but keep pushing it off? Creating a digital product of any kind can be intimidating. We often find ourselves overthinking and creating beliefs that are better labeled as myths.

Take it from someone who has been where you are right now, you can be successful selling a digital planner. It will take work, don’t get me wrong but with some dedication, focus, and creativity you too can do this full time. It is easy to believe in the objections to not do or create something new, but we are entrepreneurs and that means we don’t believe in the easy way out! I have created over 200 digital products and learned so much while doing so, there is no reason why you can’t successfully launch your own digital planner!

Here are three of the biggest myths I learned while selling my digital planners:

Myth #1: There are too many Digital Planners on the market already.

How many successful business coaches do you come across online a day? The answer is probably, a lot. The online space is full of unique individuals looking for products that fit their style and needs. Your creativity is valuable to so many people! My clients often tell me that they don’t know how to create a planner/brand that stands out from the masses. The key is to know who your audience is and provide a planner solution that solves a problem rather than just pretty design.

Comparison is the biggest killer of creativity. You aren’t doing yourself any favors by looking into other digital planners or products. Do a deep dive into your target audience and create something that they can’t live without!

Myth #2: You need to be a graphic design expert.

We live in a world where basically anything we want to learn is one google search away. If you don’t feel confident in your graphic design skills, spend an hour watching some tutorials! Resources such as Keynote App, Microsoft’s PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Adobe InDesign are great for creating your masterpiece!

All of the programs above are great and easy to learn when creating a digital planner. If you are interested in which program is right for you, I explain them in-depth in my blog: 4 Programs That Make Digital Planning a Breeze.

Myth #3: You can’t make full-time income with a digital planner

I was making a full-time income just three months after launching! There are huge markets for digital products and I don’t see that going away. Selling your digital planner is the easiest part of the whole process. By using a relatable marketing strategy, systems, and sales funnels you can be successful!

By doing your market research before creating your planner and you will have created a product that you know your target audience already wants to buy! Poll your audience to learn about their needs and pain points. Ask them how they would like their ideal digital planner to be set up and how they would like it to look. When you are ready to sell, all you have to do is use this information to create a sales funnel that will do the work for you!
